Ozen Dance Company

 

The Ozen Dance Company was established in 1999.  The Company is the main performing and competition group of the dance department.  The Company performs for school and community events, as well as dance competitions.

 

The primary focus of the company is to enrich the community, and school environment through the art of movement.

 

After a student completes Dance I, they have the opportunity to audition for The Ozen Dance Company.

 

Each year, the Company participates in the International Dance Challenge regional competition.  The Company began competing at IDC in 2000.  Each year the Company has won awards at IDC for their performances.  In 2003, the Company attended IDC National Competition in Daytona Beach, Florida, and won Gold Champion for Jazz and Platinum Champion for Tap.  The Company has qualified for the IDC National Competition every year since 2003.

 

On the Regional Competition level, the Company has won Platinum and Gold Champion in multiple categories.  In addition, the Company has been awarded Senior Entertainment Challenge Champion, Best Choreography, Best Presentation, Special Awards Recipient, and Ultimate Challenge Champion to name a few.
